Adding a Handle

I am wondering if anyone has any experience with adding a small cutout for a handle on board? I have an oxbow standup board and it is too wide to handle under my arm and it would love to add a handle so I can stop carrying this over my head. Also my wife struggles a bit with the board over her head.

I imagine I would just need to cut a small cutout and seal it up with epoxy and perhap a little fiberglass? Any suggestions?

There is a product out in the market called "EZ-PLUG HANDLE". It is designed for SUP, Paddle Surfboards, Canoes, Kayaks and other fiberglass marine crafts. it is by SURFCO Hawaii. It is very simple to install. Just wipe the area with the cleaner included in the package and peel and stick the handle. It works really well.
