Good current with little to no swells perfect for SUP. 90 degrees, water still on the chilli side though. Saw two kinds of Jelly fish one white and one red. I need to read up on the marine life around this area!!!

At 9:53am on July 31, 2009, Vaughan said…: Went out SUPing at the Washington Arboretom yesterday to Lake Washington and paddled through a very choppy channel ( many ships and boats ) to get to Lake Union. Saw the Blue Angels (jets) practicing for this weekends Sea Fair events. Spoke with several other Paddle Borders by the kayak rental place in front of Aqua Verde ( a very good mexican restaurant ) that rented their boards and another group that had purchased theirs through REI. I am glad to see that Stand Up Paddling has caught on here in Seattle, Wa.

I've been Stand Up Paddling since May 1st of 2009, around the Seattle area: Green Lake, Golden Gardens, several areas around Lake Washington. I have also tried surfing in La Push. Always looking for new places and new faces to paddle with. Born in the Philippines, raised 15 years in Alaska, now Northwest is my hometown:)
