Stand up paddlesurf lesson- Cruising the Bay

Had a great day of paddlesurfing today!

Started off with an early morning surf session on the Northside of the pier with Kiwi, Spork and Kraig Surplus. Kiwi got the wedge of the day- wish I had my camera ready for that one- just perfectly slotted on his 10' Stu K. I had a front row seat- nice job Kiwi! Go check out some photos of that session on www.paddlesurf.net

Taught a stand up paddle surf lesson on the bay with my latest student Kristine M.. Paddle surfing is fun for so many reasons- I re… Continue

This is great! I'll get James to join on here too, or at least re-connect with you. I just found this forum in planning for our trip to Daytona to find places to rent gear. We just did the SUP last summer with friends in South Mission, then again when we went to Hawaii. I thought it was great! Let's chat offline. I'll send you a message....

Hey John!
Cool video with the 6`5" fish! I`m very interesting on sup shortboards. Do you know where I can buy it or test it? I`m in January in San Diego.
Best regards
Sascha

Hey John, Thanks for the info on the Go Pro Wide angle camera. I made a video with the Oregon Scientific camera and needed Dramamine after watching it.

I was thinking of getting the camera as all the new rage. What does the working program need . I'm on an old windows xp system. Can it work on those .. New camera new lap top too. We have a couple of Sub Vectors on the way. Rode one at a demop and what a loose stable board. Will stay in touch Mahalo glen

Hey John, It was my first trial on my new ZAPPER, and unfortunately waves were kind of poor wind swell, only just knee to waist high. However, the Zapper worked great, the quad fins grip the wall, and totally push me up the next step. I've heard about Stu will come to Japan again this week. I will hang out with him in here, and try to let him know my feed back about DA ZAPPER. In any case, if I could get some more good pics of mine or my friends in the better conditions, I will try to contribute them to you.

Hi John, Thank you for your reply. I'm checking your web everyday, and found out the ZAPPER on it. Then, I thought it would be the best one for my next step. That's why I tried to order it to Stu. Thanks John! I've heard about you from Stu-san during his stay here. What a SUP world is so small as well. I've also checked Stamp's board very often on your web sight, and I have strong interesting it his work. Today, I will be going Italy for business, and come back on Saturday. I will get back to you with my impression about my new ZAPPER.

Hi John! Yes, I got that through Mitch. Almost a year ago, I went to San Diego for ASR trade show, and stopped by Mitch's surf as usual. At that time, Mitch invited me to do SUP together next mourning. We'd met at La Jolla shores, I borrowed his Craig board 10'00", and he took me to good point break. Craig board was so good, and I asked him to make order a board for me. Around three months later, finally I got new one, and it's so nice for carving.
At the last July, Stu Kenson came to Japan, and I'd tried to meet him to talk about my next board. Then, I've just received a new board today, shaped by Stu, the zapper model, 9'00" x 29" x 4" quad. I will try to upload some pics about that later.
