Hi , Glad to see you involved in the SUP. The OBX is a hot bed for waves on the East Coast. Stand Up must be good too. I talk to Trip at Real Sports alot. He is afellow NY.'er too. I've been here on Hilton Head for 13 yrs and over a a year and half ago started SUP'ing. The best thing I ever did. Our waves are small here so It made sense to Paddle . We do alot of flat and back water paddles, but from time to time we do get waves. Thats all I do now. I dont prone surf anymore. Even choppy days I'm on the SUP. Thanks for joining Atlantic paddle surfing. Michael has posted my www. atlanticpaddlesurfing.blogspot.com on the lower part of the main page. I try to update often as I can. Its really small all summer in the knee to thigh high range. Im actually getting preaty good at the surf. The lay down paddlers are getting mad because I can sit on the main peak with them now. Ive been doing open ocean distance paddles also for exercise.
What kind of board do you ride? It looks like you guys do alot of flat and backwater paddling.
