Paid my first unscheduled visit to the Bay...

...yesterday and timed it perfectly with the first time I went out without a wet suit. Admittedly, heading out on your stick when it is already windy and wavy is not the best idea, but I was Jonesing to get on the water and figured it would be a good way to improve my balance on the board. Day 2

Okay, so I'm still a newbie at this. Last night was day 2 after cracking open my not so new (bought used from Real Kiteboarding) Jimmy Lewis 11'. Oooh!

Got my board today. Didn't realize the adventure would start long before I hit the water. -Our mailroom guy Fred called: "Eric, umm, a large packaged just arrived for you." -Excellent, must be my new board: "Can you hold it until the end of the day? I'll grab it on my way out." -Fred: "Actually, it is too big for the freight elevator. The truck driver is down on the street and wants you to come get it." I work in a 40+ floor high rise in downtown SF...we have a BIG freight elevator, so I am in… Continue
