Okay, so I'm still a newbie at this. Last night was day 2 after cracking open my not so new (bought used from Real Kiteboarding) Jimmy Lewis 11'. I hit the Aquatic Park in San Francisco for some flatwater cruising before sunset. Conditions were ideal...warm air, light winds and fairly flat water - rare afternoon conditions in the Bay - and my board was slipping through the water like it was warm butter. Maybe not dawn, but 6:00AM still feels early. This is the first chance I have had to get out with the new stick. Given that my accumulated experience is all of about 3 total hours of board time in Oahu last month, I figure I better go the safe route and get out on some flat water. Got my board today. Didn't realize the adventure would start long before I hit the water.
-Our mailroom guy Fred called: "Eric, umm, a large packaged just arrived for you."
